The laboratory where colour is born
A laboratory stands beside every tile: it checks the raw material, invents the colours and tests the finished samples. It is the first research laboratory for clinker products in Kazakhstan.

What happens here
- The physics and chemistry of the raw material are studied.
- Production processes are tested and modelled.
- Finished tile is measured against international standards.
- Colours and textures are created.
Equipment
The laboratory is equipped by the Spanish company Laboratorio Técnico Cerámico.
How a colour is born
The palette was created by ceramist Altynai Baizhan, a third-generation artist of the Altyn Ceramics family. In the laboratory her colours went the full circle: pigments from leading world manufacturers, experimental kiln batches, tile samples and feedback from architects. When the palette was shown at Tanu Design Tour, 42 percent of the participants sent detailed responses.
Your colour goes into production
While the line is being prepared for start-up, a project can have a colour of its own: direction, texture, format and surface character. After laboratory checks the palette goes into production.
